SKE - Spray your heart

- "Spray your heart" Limited Edition - Edition number: 02/30 EA ("Artist's Edition", the rarest and most sought-after editions) Print run 100 copies + 30 EA - Artist: SKE - Publisher: Atelier Montmartre Paris - 300 g/m² art paper – ISO A3 format - Mixed techniques digital painting (Procreate AI Photoshop) - Signed, numbered - Certificate included In this work, SKE openly reinterprets the emblematic Banksy iconography, a major figure in contemporary street art and a symbol of anonymous, engaged, subversive art. By adopting the iconic stencil stance and the red heart gesture, the artist replaces the anonymous silhouette with Gaston, the cult character from the Franco-Belgian comic. This displacement creates a new reading: Banksy’s militant anonymity confronts the assumed innocence of Gaston. Masked, with a spray can in hand, the character becomes, in turn, a clandestine actor in the urban space, blurring the line between popular art, engagement and mass culture. The red heart, bright on the rough wall, retains its universal symbolic charge: love, resistance, free emotion. The drips, splashes and textures reinforce the street aesthetics and the illusion of a work born in the street. Through this détournement, SKE questions the notion of author, signature and message in contemporary urban art, while paying homage to one of its founding myths. A strong, narrative work that is immediately readable, intended for collectors of street art, pop art and icon detournements. Characteristics: • Limited edition • Printed on premium 300 g art paper • ISO A3 format, easy to frame • Each copy signed and numbered by SKE • Delivered with certificate of authenticity • Shipped protected, reinforced packaging - FRAMING TIPS Your work is shipped rolled and protected in a tube. Upon receipt, remove it carefully and lay it flat for 48 to 72 hours, so it naturally regains its shape before framing. ISO formats (A3, A2, A1…) are very easy to frame with standard frames available at hardware or decoration stores. Personally, I use Leroy Merlin aluminum frames: simple, elegant and affordable, they perfectly showcase the works. - ARTIST BIO: SKE is a self-taught French artist, a versatile creator who grew up in the culture of the 80s/90s, inspiring a large portion of his artistic work. He continually explores new techniques: acrylic painting, collage, stencil, graffiti, urban installations and digital art. His dynamic and expressive compositions, often with double readings, fuse the raw energy of street art with the visual impact of pop art. After an exceptional 2025, SKE's value has risen noticeably. Winner of the first prize at Urban Master (2023), then elected Revelation of the Year at the Color Jam Challenge (2025). SKE was selected as "Artist of the Month" in October, and he also benefited from a feature in an American art magazine confirming his international recognition. His works have already been exhibited in major venues in Europe, the United States and Asia, consolidating his place on the contemporary art scene. At the same time, SKE also makes his mark in the digital art market, a major trend of the last two years, strengthening the appeal of his creations among collectors. Icons of popular culture, bold graphics and texture play characterize a style that is now indispensable. SKE is undoubtedly an artist to follow, to start or enrich a collection with rising value. Awarded & Recognized Artist – Pop Art & Contemporary Street Art AN UNIVERSE BETWEEN HERITAGE AND MODERNITY SKE's work fits into a prestigious lineage. His line exhibits the visual efficiency of Keith Haring and Andy Warhol, while incorporating Banksy’s subversion or the pioneer Blek le Rat. His works bridge eras: they revisit classics, not hesitating to détourne Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa, Vermeer’s Girl with a Pearl Earring, Hokusai’s The Great Wave, or Picasso’s deconstructed forms to confront them with a modern urban aesthetics akin to Mr Brainwash or Kaws. POP CULTURE & NOSTALGIA Drawing on the collective imagination, SKE manipulates icons from our childhood. He stages the Disney universe with characters like Mickey or Pinocchio, and Scrooge McDuck’s symbolic greed. The influence of gaming, comics and graphic novels is omnipresent: from Nintendo and the legendary Game Boy universe, to Pokemon creatures (Pikachu, Charizard, Ash), through Marvel superheroes. SKE crystallizes these memories in the manner of Daniel Arsham or Takashi Murakami. LUXE, HYPE & CONSUMER SOCIETY In a style that sometimes recalls Alec Monopoly, the artist plays with codes of success and materialism. The dollar symbol sits alongside luxury and fashion logos. His canvases capture the “Hype” aesthetic: you encounter sneaker world (Nike Air Jordan, Adidas, Off-White) and haute couture (Louis Vuitton, Hermès, Louboutin). He also incorporates automotive adrenaline (Ferrari, Porsche, Bugatti, AMG) and precision watchmaking (Rolex, Tag Heuer), not to forget mass consumer icons like Coca-Cola. It’s vibrant art, with textured finishes that sometimes evoke the glossy surface of Jeff Koons or the facets of Richard Orlinski. This work is ideal for enriching a collection or adding a dynamic touch to your interior.
