Toutes les enchères / Véhicules / SKE - Porsche Upgrade
- Limited edition of the artwork "Porsche Upgrade" by the artist SKE. - Publisher: Atelier MONTMARTRE FineArt. - Certificate of authenticity included. - High-quality print on museum-grade art paper - Number 07/100 - Format A3 (42x29.7 cm), very easy to frame. - Carefully packaged and shipped (Silk paper+Tube+Board carton) - Instagram artist SKE: ske_shakeyourart Presented as part of an auction dedicated to the Porsche universe, Upgrade starts with a wink that is immediately readable by both car enthusiasts and comic book lovers: Gaston Lagaffe has swapped his famous clunker for a Porsche. But SKE does not erase the memory of Gaston’s old car. He translates it. The Porsche deliberately reclaims its most recognizable visual codes: the vivid yellow and the black-and-white checkered band. As if Gaston had finally moved up a category… without really giving up his identity. It is precisely this mismatch that gives the work its power. On the one hand, the instantly recognizable silhouette of a Porsche, a symbol of performance, automotive desire, and collector culture. On the other hand, Gaston, hero of absolute nonchalance, at the wheel with his eternally calm expression. The meeting of these two worlds creates an image that is funny, nostalgic, and very graphic. With Porsche Upgrade, SKE presents a contemporary artistic interpretation that crosses Porsche culture, Franco-Belgian comics, pop art, and street art. The projections, textures, and graphic treatment deliberately move the image away from simple illustration to make it a collectible piece designed for those who enjoy clever détournements and references recognizable at a first glance. For a Porsche collector, the pleasure is double: rediscovering an automotive icon in an unexpected composition, and instantly catching the wink at Gaston’s old clunker. An improbable meeting on paper, but almost obvious once hung on the wall. - FRAMING TIPS Your artwork is shipped rolled and protected in a tube. Upon receipt, gently remove it and lay it flat for 48 to 72 hours so it naturally regains its shape before framing. ISO formats (A3, A2, A1…) are very easy to frame with standard frames available in hardware or decor stores. Personally, I use Leroy Merlin aluminum frames: simple, elegant, and economical; they showcase artworks perfectly. - ARTIST BIO: SKE is a self-taught French artist and a true all-rounder who grew up in the 80s/90s culture, inspiring a large majority of his artistic works. He continuously explores new techniques: acrylic painting, collage, stenciling, graffiti, urban installations, and digital art. His dynamic and expressive compositions, often with double meaning, combine the raw energy of street art with the visual impact of pop art. After an exceptional year in 2025, SKE’s market value has risen notably. Winner of the first prize in the Urban Master contest (2023), then elected Revelation of the Year at the Color Jam Challenge (2025). SKE was selected as the "Artist of the Month" by the Opulence gallery in October, and he also benefited from a feature in an American art magazine confirming his international recognition. His works have already been exhibited in major venues in Europe, the United States, and Asia, consolidating his place on the contemporary art scene. In parallel, SKE has also made his mark in the digital art market, a major trend of the last two years, strengthening the appeal of his creations to collectors. Icons of popular culture, bold graphics, and texture play characterize a style now incontournable. SKE is undeniably an artist to follow, to start or enrich a collection with rising value. Awarded & Renowned Artist – Pop Art & Contemporary Street Art A UNIVERSE BETWEEN HERITAGE AND MODERNITY The work of SKE sits in a prestigious lineage. His line work carries the visual efficiency of Keith Haring and Andy Warhol, while incorporating the subversion of Banksy or the pioneer Blek le Rat. His works create a bridge between eras: they revisit the classics, not hesitating to distort Vinci’s Mona Lisa, Vermeer’s Girl with a Pearl Earring, Hokusai’s The Great Wave, or Picasso’s deconstructed forms, to confront them with a modern urban aesthetic akin to Mr. Brainwash or Kaws. POP CULTURE & NOSTALGIA Drawing from the collective imagination, SKE manipulates icons of our childhood. He stages the Disney universe with figures like Mickey or Pinocchio, and Scrooge McDuck’s symbolic greed. The influence of gaming, comics, and superheroes is omnipresent: from the Nintendo world and the legendary Game Boy to Pokemon creatures (Pikachu, Charizard, Ash), through Marvel superheroes. SKE crystallizes these memories in the manner of Daniel Arsham or Takashi Murakami. LUXURY, HYPE & CONSUMER SOCIETY In a style sometimes reminiscent of Alec Monopoly, the artist plays with codes of success and materialism. The Dollar symbol sits alongside luxury and fashion logos. His canvases capture the aesthetic of “Hype”: the sneaker world (Nike Air Jordan, Adidas, Off White) and haute couture (Louis Vuitton, Hermès, Louboutin). He also integrates automotive adrenaline (Ferrari, Porsche, Bugatti, AMG) and precision watchmaking (Rolex, Tag Heuer), not to mention mass-consumption icons like Coca-Cola. It is vibrant art with textured finishes that sometimes evoke the glossy finish of Jeff Koons or the facets of Richard Orlinski. This artwork is ideal for enriching a collection or bringing a dynamic touch to your interior. - Instagram artist SKE: ske_shakeyourart
