SKE - Goldorak - 50 anniversary - 25/100

Created for Goldorak's 50th anniversary, this poster pays tribute to one of the most iconic robots in popular culture. Halfway between Japanese tradition and contemporary pop culture, the artwork combines the mythical iconography of Goldorak with a composition inspired by Japanese prints, with Mount Fuji in the background. The number 50 (1975–2025) marks a strong temporal marker, symbolizing five decades of influence, nostalgia, and intergenerational transmission. The line work is intentionally graphic and assertive, blending reverence for the myth with contemporary artistic interpretation. This limited edition is designed as a collectible piece, aimed at lovers of Japanese culture, cult robots, and narrative pop art. Edition details: – Limited edition of 100 copies - Certificate of authenticity - Signed and numbered (Number 20/100) – Printed on 300 g/m² art paper – A3 format – 42 × 29.7 cm (ISO) – Artwork sold unframed – Ideal for collectors and Goldorak fans A homage creation, at once respectful and modern, celebrating a timeless legend of Japanese animation. - Instagram artist SKE: ske_shakeyourart - FRAMING TIPS Your artwork is shipped rolled and protected in a tube. Upon receipt, gently unroll it and lay it flat for 48 to 72 hours so it can naturally regain its shape before framing. ISO formats (A3, A2, A1…) are very easy to frame with standard frames available in DIY or home decor stores. Personally, I use Leroy Merlin aluminum frames: simple, elegant, and affordable; they showcase the works perfectly. - ARTIST BIO: SKE is a self-taught French artist with a wide range of skills who grew up immersed in 80s/90s culture, inspiring the majority of his works. He constantly explores new techniques: acrylic painting, collage, stencil, graffiti, urban installations, and digital art. His dynamic and expressive compositions, often with a double read, blend the raw energy of street art with the visual impact of pop art. After an exceptional year in 2025, SKE's value has seen a notable rise. Winner of the first prize at Urban Master (2023), then voted Revelation of the Year at the Color Jam Challenge (2025). SKE was selected as "Artist of the Month" by Opulence gallery in October, and he has also had a feature in an American art magazine confirming his international recognition. His works have already been exhibited in major venues in Europe, the United States, and Asia, consolidating his place on the contemporary art scene. In parallel, SKE also makes his mark in the digital art market, a major trend of the last two years, enhancing the appeal of his creations to collectors. Icons of popular culture, bold graphics, and texture play define a style that is now essential. SKE is undoubtedly an artist to follow, to start or enrich a collection with growing value. Crowned and Awarded Artist – Pop Art & Contemporary Street Art A UNIVERSE BETWEEN HERITAGE AND MODERNITY SKE's work is part of a prestigious lineage. His linework shows the visual efficiency of Keith Haring and Andy Warhol, while incorporating Banksy’s subversion or the pioneer Blek le Rat. His works create a bridge between eras: they revisit the classics, not shying away from reframing Vinci's Mona Lisa, Vermeer’s Girl with a Pearl Earring, Hokusai's The Great Wave, or Picasso’s deconstructed forms to confront a modern urban aesthetic akin to Mr Brainwash or Kaws. POP CULTURE & NOSTALGIA Drawing on the collective imagination, SKE manipulates icons from our childhood. He stages the Disney universe with figures like Mickey or Pinocchio, and the symbolic greed of Scrooge McDuck. The influence of gaming, comics, and graphic novels is omnipresent: from Nintendo and the legendary Game Boy, to Pokemon creatures (Pikachu, Charizard, Ash), including Marvel superheroes. SKE crystallizes these memories in the manner of Daniel Arsham or Takashi Murakami. LUXE, HYPE & CONSUMER SOCIETY In a style sometimes reminiscent of Alec Monopoly, the artist plays with codes of success and materialism. The Dollar symbol sits beside luxury and fashion logos. His canvases capture the “Hype” aesthetic: you encounter sneaker culture (Nike Air Jordan, Adidas, Off-White) and high fashion (Louis Vuitton, Hermès, Louboutin). He also incorporates automotive adrenaline (Ferrari, Porsche, Bugatti, AMG) and precision watches (Rolex, Tag Heuer), not to mention mass consumer icons like Coca-Cola. It is vibrant art, with textures that sometimes evoke the glossy finish of Jeff Koons or the facets of Richard Orlinski. This work is ideal for enriching a collection or adding a dynamic touch to your interior. - Instagram artist SKE: ske_shakeyourart
