SKE - Atelier Montmartre - 50 Ans de Légende - 03/10

Created on the occasion of Goldorak's 50th anniversary, this poster pays tribute to one of the most emblematic robots in popular culture. Artist: SKE Artist Instagram: ske_shakeyourart Theme: Goldorak, Japanese animation, cult robot, pop culture, vintage manga, 70s/80s nostalgia Format: A2 (59.6x42 cm) easy to frame Technique: Fine art print on museum-quality Hahnemühle paper Edition: 03/10 Artwork sold unframed There are heroes we never quite stop following. Goldorak is one of them. With 50 Ans de Légende, SKE transforms the icon of an entire generation into a composition that seems to have traveled through time. In the center, Goldorak stands like a monumental figure, framed by a red sun that immediately evokes Japanese visual codes. Around him, vertical typography, technical drawings, orbits, vessels, weathered textures and torn paper give the whole piece the look of a poster found in the archives of a retro-future. The palette — deep blue, red, black, ivory and gold accents — creates a tension between mechanical power and memory. SKE does not merely reproduce a childhood memory: he channels it through his own graphic vocabulary, at the crossroads of pop art, street art and popular culture. The result speaks as much to those who grew up with Goldorak as to collectors drawn to an aesthetic that is contemporary yet nourished by iconic references. Presented in portrait A2 format, the artwork has a strong presence while remaining easy to incorporate into an interior, a personal gallery, or a collection space. 50 Ans de Légende does not celebrate just a birthday: it reminds us why certain images travel through decades without losing their force. A piece meant for those who do not view Goldorak as a simple cartoon, but as a piece of collective memory that has become an icon. A piece for collectors of Goldorak, Japanese animation, pop culture and contemporary street art. - FRAMING TIPS Your artwork is shipped rolled and protected in a tube. Upon receipt, gently unroll it and lay it flat for 48 to 72 hours to let it recover its shape before framing. ISO formats (A3, A2, A1…) are very easy to frame with standard frames available in hardware or decor stores. Personally, I use Leroy Merlin aluminum frames: simple, elegant and economical; they showcase the artworks perfectly. - ARTIST BIO: SKE is a self-taught French artist with a versatile approach who grew up in the 80s/90s culture, inspiring a large portion of his artworks. He continually explores new techniques: acrylic painting, collage, stencils, graffiti, urban installations, and digital art. His dynamic and expressive compositions, often with double meanings, blend the raw energy of street art with the visual impact of pop art. After an exceptional 2025, SKE's value has risen notably. Winner of the first prize at the Urban Master contest (2023), and later named Revelation of the Year at the Color Jam Challenge (2025). SKE was selected as "Artist of the Month" by Opulence Gallery in October; he also had a feature in an American art magazine confirming his international recognition. His works have already been exhibited at major venues in Europe, the United States, and Asia, solidifying his place in the contemporary art scene. In parallel, SKE has established himself in the market for digital artworks, a major trend of the last two years, boosting the appeal of his creations to collectors. Icons of popular culture, bold graphics and textured plays define a style that has become indispensable. SKE is undoubtedly an artist to follow, to start or enrich a collection with rising value. Awarded & Acclaimed Artist – Pop Art & Contemporary Street Art A UNIVERSE BETWEEN HERITAGE AND MODERNITY SKE's work sits in a prestigious lineage. His line shows the visual efficiency of Keith Haring and Andy Warhol, while incorporating Banksy’s subversion or the pioneer Blek le Rat. His works bridge the eras: they revisit classics, not hesitating to supplant Vinci’s Mona Lisa, Vermeer’s Girl with a Pearl Earring, Hokusai’s The Great Wave, or Picasso’s deconstructed forms, to confront them with a modern urban aesthetic akin to Mr Brainwash or Kaws. POP CULTURE & NOSTALGIA Drawing on the collective imagination, SKE manipulates icons from our childhood. He stages Disney’s universe with figures like Mickey or Pinocchio, and Scrooge McDuck’s symbolic greed. The influence of gaming, comics, and graphic novels is omnipresent: from Nintendo’s world and the legendary Game Boy, to Pokemon creatures (Pikachu, Charizard, Ash), and the Marvel Super Heroes. SKE crystallizes these memories in the manner of Daniel Arsham or Takashi Murakami. LUXURY, HYPE & CONSUMER CULTURE In a style sometimes reminiscent of Alec Monopoly, the artist plays with codes of success and materialism. The Dollar symbol sits beside luxury and fashion logos. His canvases capture the “Hype” aesthetic: you see sneaker culture (Nike Air Jordan, Adidas, Off-White) and high fashion (Louis Vuitton, Hermès, Louboutin). He also incorporates automotive adrenaline (Ferrari, Porsche, Bugatti, AMG) and precision watchmaking (Rolex, Tag Heuer), not to mention mass consumer icons like Coca-Cola. It is vibrant art, with textures reminiscent of the glossy finish of Jeff Koons or the facets of Richard Orlinski. This piece is ideal for enriching a collection or bringing a dynamic touch to your space. Instagram artist SKE: ske_shakeyourart
