Her artistic production draws on the primitive unconscious of childhood, playfulness and fairy-tale elements, which reveals itself in a figuration illuminated by a vivid color palette. Through the painting process the artist allows us to relive beloved moments; one can discern everyday images in a dreamlike universe. Montanari's style is based on a representational fusion of reality and imagination. A realistic precision of contours, a solidity of matter well grounded on the ground and around it as an atmosphere projecting our unconscious. Overall, a sensation of restlessness and introspection, prompting the search for something beyond the static nature of the figures.
