Side table - Wood - antique side table

For sale is an exquisite one-of-a-kind piece for lovers of true craftsmanship: an antique Rococo side table that has been revived after days of work. The highlight – the surface: The tabletop made from rare root veneer has been refined in the traditional “Petersburger Art” (Saint Petersburg method). That means: Over 10 layers of pure shellac were applied by hand. The result is an incomparable depth and a mirror-like shine that only this historic technique can produce. The veneer appears almost three-dimensional. The contrast: To stage the magnificent wood of the top in a modern way, the frame and the curved legs were ebonized (stained deep black) and then hand-polished with high-quality antique wax. This silky-matte contrast to the high-gloss top makes the table a true eye-catcher in any modern or classic setting. Condition & details: Professionally refinished. Stable and ready to use in a home. Dimensions: height 75 cm, width 56 cm, depth 40 cm Viewing & delivery: Pickup in Halle/Saale. Delivery is possible by arrangement and for an additional charge.
