Shmidt.Art - Maserati - Maserati Mistral - 1960s

A premium A1-format technical poster dedicated to the Maserati Mistral (1964) — one of the most elegant Italian grand tourers of the 1960s, combining timeless Pietro Frua styling, classic straight-six performance, and unmistakable Maserati character. This artwork showcases a highly detailed multi-view technical illustration, including front, rear, side, and top perspectives, complete with precise dimensions and key specifications. A refined tribute to one of Maserati’s most distinctive classic grand touring cars. Highlights Classic Italian Grand Tourer Introduced in production form in 1964, the Maserati Mistral succeeded the 3500 GT and became the first Maserati road car to adopt the company’s tradition of naming models after winds. Legendary Straight-Six Power Early Mistral models were powered by a 3.5-litre DOHC inline-six engine derived from Maserati’s competition-proven engineering and equipped with Lucas mechanical fuel injection, producing approximately 235 PS. Larger 3.7- and 4.0-litre versions followed during production. Strong Grand Touring Performance With its combination of relatively low weight, powerful straight-six engine, and aerodynamic bodywork, the Mistral offered impressive performance for its era, with later versions capable of top speeds approaching 250 km/h (155 mph). Classic Maserati Engineering A front-mounted engine, rear-wheel-drive layout, five-speed manual transmission, independent front suspension, and four-wheel disc brakes created a sophisticated grand touring package designed for fast long-distance driving. Elegant Pietro Frua Design Designed by Pietro Frua, the Mistral is distinguished by its long sculpted bonnet, low roofline, compact cabin, large glass rear hatch, and beautifully balanced fastback proportions — creating one of the most recognizable Maserati silhouettes of the 1960s. Rare and Collectible Maserati Produced in relatively limited numbers, the Mistral represents an important period in Maserati history and remains highly regarded for its combination of elegant Italian coachwork, competition-derived engineering, and classic grand touring character. Technical Precision Accurate dimensional layout inspired by original engineering schematics, emphasizing the car’s long-bonnet proportions, straight-six architecture, rear-wheel-drive configuration, and elegant 1960s Italian design. Condition New — professionally printed on high-quality paper.
