Toutes les enchères / Véhicules / Shmidt.Art - Ferrari - Ferrari 500 F2 - 1950s
A premium automotive poster dedicated to the historic 1952 Ferrari 500 F2 — one of the most successful early Ferrari Grand Prix cars and a machine that played a defining role in establishing the marque’s reputation at the highest level of international motorsport. This artwork presents the Ferrari 500 F2 in classic Ferrari Red, accompanied by detailed technical views, a period-inspired racing cockpit illustration, engine and chassis details, traditional competition colours, specifications, and carefully selected design elements. The warm vintage background complements the purposeful simplicity of the single-seater, creating a refined tribute to Ferrari’s formative years in Grand Prix racing. Highlights A Grand Prix Champion Introduced for the 1952 season, the Ferrari 500 became the dominant car of the Formula Two regulations then used for the World Championship. In the hands of Alberto Ascari, it helped Ferrari secure consecutive Drivers’ World Championships in 1952 and 1953, becoming one of the most successful racing cars of its era. 2.0-Litre Naturally Aspirated Inline-Four Unlike many famous Ferraris powered by V12 engines, the 500 F2 used a compact 2.0-litre naturally aspirated inline-four designed by Aurelio Lampredi. Producing roughly 185 PS in early specification, the engine emphasized strong torque, reliability, and efficient packaging — qualities ideally suited to Grand Prix competition. Lightweight Competition Engineering The Ferrari 500 F2 was built around a straightforward tubular chassis and lightweight open-wheel bodywork. Its relatively simple mechanical architecture, balanced weight distribution, and carefully developed suspension gave the car exceptional consistency and control over demanding Grand Prix distances. Pure Single-Seater Design The 500 F2 embodies the functional beauty of early-1950s racing machinery. Exposed wheels, a narrow cigar-shaped body, compact windscreen, single-seat cockpit, wire wheels, and minimal aerodynamic bodywork created a form dictated almost entirely by competition requirements. Detailed Illustrated Composition The artwork includes: Large three-quarter illustration in Ferrari Red Front and side technical views Detailed period-inspired racing cockpit Single competition seat Rear three-quarter view Inline-four engine illustration Tubular chassis engineering detail Period-inspired Ferrari racing palette Technical specifications and design notes Vintage-style typography and presentation The warm ivory background, subtle aged-paper texture, and carefully rendered illustrations create an elegant archival aesthetic suitable for a garage, office, living room, studio, or motorsport collection.
