Shmidt.Art - Ferrari - FERRARI 365 GTB/4 - 1960s

A premium automotive poster dedicated to the Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Berlinetta — the legendary front-engine V12 flagship that represented Ferrari’s uncompromising grand touring philosophy at the end of the 1960s. This artwork celebrates the 1969 Ferrari 365 GTB/4 in iconic Rosso Corsa, combining its long-bonnet proportions and aggressive grand touring stance with detailed technical illustrations, suspension studies, transmission and drivetrain drawings, alloy-wheel references, multiple vehicle views and a beautifully rendered V12 engine. The portrait A1 format gives the artwork the appearance of a historic Ferrari engineering document. The Front-Engine Flagship The Ferrari 365 GTB/4 was created as Ferrari’s high-performance front-engine Berlinetta, combining long-distance usability with the speed and intensity of a true Italian supercar. Its front-mounted V12, rear-wheel drive and powerful proportions gave it an unmistakable character that contrasted with the growing popularity of mid-engine sports cars. The result was a grand tourer with the presence of a competition machine — elegant enough for long-distance travel, but powerful and focused enough to deliver a deeply engaging driving experience. A High-Revving V12 At the heart of the Ferrari 365 GTB/4 is a 4.4-litre DOHC V12 engine producing approximately 352 CV and 431 Nm of torque. The large engine illustration highlights the twelve-cylinder layout, individual intake trumpets, detailed cylinder heads, exhaust manifolds and Ferrari’s competition-inspired mechanical architecture. The engine’s smooth power delivery, high-revving character and unmistakable sound became central to the identity of Ferrari’s flagship Berlinetta. Balanced Front-Engine Layout The 365 GTB/4 combines its front-mounted V12 with a rear-wheel-drive layout and a five-speed manual gearbox. The technical transmission and drivetrain drawing included in the poster illustrates the relationship between the engine, gearbox, suspension and rear axle. This architecture gave the Ferrari a long, elegant bonnet while preserving the mechanical balance and driver involvement expected from a high-performance Ferrari. A Distinctive Ferrari Berlinetta The car’s design is defined by its long front end, low roofline, sharply angled nose, quad headlamps, wide grille, sculpted front wings, compact cabin and short rear deck. Its fastback profile gives the car a powerful visual presence, while the Rosso Corsa bodywork and understated alloy wheels reinforce its unmistakable Ferrari identity. The poster presents the 365 GTB/4 from multiple angles, emphasizing how its clean lines and muscular proportions remain coherent from the front, side and rear. Detailed Illustrated Composition The artwork includes: Large three-quarter illustration of the Ferrari 365 GTB/4 in Rosso Corsa Detailed front view with overall-width measurement Front and rear three-quarter illustrations Full side profile with length, height and wheelbase dimensions Front suspension technical study Detailed 4.4-litre DOHC V12 engine illustration Transmission, rear axle and drivetrain technical drawing 7.5J × 15 alloy wheel and 215/70 VR15 tyre reference Historical Ferrari engineering details and period-inspired graphics Technical typography and archival blueprint presentation The warm ivory background, Rosso Corsa bodywork, graphite illustrations and subtle aged-paper texture create a refined vintage motorsport aesthetic. The composition balances mechanical information with the dramatic visual presence of one of Ferrari’s most important front-engine grand touring cars.
