Shell Marine Products & Popeye – Emaille Reclamebord –...

A distinctive and colorful round enamel advertising sign from Shell Marine Products, featuring a striking maritime image of Popeye and several other figures aboard a ship. The famous spinach can is also clearly incorporated into the depiction. At the top is the classic Shell logo with the text “Marine Products.” At the bottom, 1949 is included as part of the design. The combination of Shell, Popeye, and the maritime theme makes this a very decorative sign for collectors. Shell has Dutch-British origins and grew to become one of the best-known names in the international oil industry and maritime trade. The sign has a diameter of about 30 cm and is equipped with four mounting holes. Around the mounting holes there are light signs of use/age. The colorful image also presents itself nicely. An attractive collectible for fans of Shell, Popeye, maritime advertising, petroliana, and enamel signs. Ships well-packaged.
