SHASHKA, Nikolaj II, S:t Petersburg, firma Schaaf & Söner, damaskerad och blånerad klinga med kejserlig hovleverantörsstämpel, originaletui märkt med firmanamnet. Klinga med förgylld kartusch på vardera sida med Nikolaj II:s krönta monogram på ena sidan respektive ätten Romanovs vapensköld på den andra, handtag i silver med Niellodekor och Nikolaj II:s krönta monogram, läderbalja med silvermonteringar med dekor likt handtaget, shashkans längd 80 cm. PROVENIENS: Axel Benzlers samling (1891-1976). SHASHKA, Nicholas II, St. Petersburg, by the firm of Schaaf & Sons. Damascus steel and blued blade bearing the Imperial Court Purveyor's mark. The blade features gilded cartouches on both sides: one displaying the crowned monogram of Nicholas II, and the other the coat of arms of the House of Romanov. The silver hilt is decorated with Niello and features the crowned monogram of Nicholas II. Leather scabbard with silver mounts matching the hilt. Accompanied by the original case bearing the maker's mark. Provenance: The collection of Axel Benzler (1891-1976).
