Set of four pairs of early 19th century Georgian miniature shoes (ca. 1830)

Descriptio Mahogany and mother-of-pearl. Dimensions: 11 × 9 × 3 cm (each piece). An exceptional set of miniature shoes hand-carved from mahogany and richly decorated with mother-of-pearl inlay, produced in England during the Georgian period. These delicate pieces, conceived as decorative or cabinet objects, reflect the taste and craftsmanship of the era. They show minor losses consistent with their age, and one shoe is missing its fastening mechanism, but this does not detract from the remarkable charm and historical value of the set. Lot in international warehouse (within the EU). Intra-EU shipping: no import duties apply within the EU. An export permit from the country of origin may be required. Due to its age and history of use, this lot may show signs of wear and previous interventions. Unless explicitly stated otherwise, no specialized technical testing has been performed. The absence of any mention of restorations does not guarantee that none exist. You may request additional information before placing a bid. This does not affect the buyer’s statutory rights.
