Sea Urchin Tower - Elegant Assembly of Marine Skeletal...

Decorative Sculpture Made with a Natural Echinoid Shell — This extraordinary artistic composition elevates the natural shell of a sea urchin to a refined sculptural work. Seven specimens of sea urchins, carefully selected for their integrity and the variety of their delicate pastel tones—from pale pink to soft lilac—have been harmoniously stacked to form an elegant tower. Each shell displays its intricate surface structure, characterized by a myriad of tubercles that once supported the spines, a testament to the geometric perfection of nature. Natural elements are interspersed with elegant brass spacers, adding a touch of metallic gleam and stability to the vertical structure. The brass, with its gold finish, creates a sophisticated contrast with the matte tones and organic textures of the shells, giving the whole piece an aura of preciousness. The sculpture is topped by a small brass tip that accentuates its verticality and completes its harmonious aesthetic. The base, organic in shape and made of a dark, opaque material, provides solid support and an additional material contrast, recalling the depth of the marine abysses from which these fascinating organisms originate. This combination of natural elements and artisanal crafts transforms a simple biological relic into a design object capable of catching the eye and inviting contemplation. An artwork that celebrates the intrinsic beauty of natural forms, reinterpreted through a modern and refined aesthetic. It is an ideal piece to enrich a contemporary Wunderkammer, a study, a living room, or any environment that desires a unique decorative accent speaking of sea, art, and design.
