Sea Snail Sea shell - S-607 STROMBUS GALLUS (No reserve price)

Beautiful shell of Strombus gallus-aliger gallus, commonly called the rooster shell or cock-shell, is a species of medium-sized sea snail, a marine mollusk in the family Strombidae. The shell is univalve, spiral, with the aperture/oral opening turned backward and spread like a flap, the lip also incised and hollowed at the top and bottom, near the point where it connects to the beak; the beak twisted inward and backward. Dimensions - 50/70/155 mm. I highly recommend it to collectors and interior decorators.
