Sculpture

A specially handmade design sculpture in cast iron, executed as a tall ladder with two abstractly shaped human figures. At the bottom there is a figure climbing the ladder, while the second figure has taken a place at the top. The composition gives the sculpture a strong symbolic appearance and can be interpreted as an image of ambition, development, perseverance, success and reaching new heights. The elongated form and minimalist human figures lend the piece a contemporary and architectural character. Precisely because of the open construction of the ladder, the silhouette changes when the sculpture is viewed from different angles. The entire object is made of cast iron and has a deep dark finish. The subtle texture of the material remains visible and emphasizes the handmade character. Small irregularities in surface and finish are inherent to the artisanal production process and give each piece character. A striking decorative art object for a modern interior, office, executive suite, study, or gallery-like setting. Because of the symbolism, it is also a particularly meaningful gift for a new job, promotion, anniversary, or other important milestone.
