Sculpture, Cristo crocifisso (torso) - 72 cm - Wood

Large wooden sculpture depicting the body of Christ Excellent size, height 72 cm Epic: 18th century (1700s) The anatomical style places the sculpture in the Northern European area with possible Austrian, German, or Tyrolean influences An element that distinguishes the period and Nordic origin is the great simplicity of its execution. A sculpture with soft anatomies, simple lines yet with a strong emotional impact Conditions: given the age there are gaps, nicks; all perfectly documented in photos. The arms, as often happens with these sculptures, are missing; you can still notice the holes where they were originally fixed. It has simply been cleaned and varnished with a clear protective varnish. No restoration work is needed; it can be hung immediately in its current state. Ideally, this wonderful, ancient and evocative work of art would be placed in a very modern, minimalist environment to create a striking contrast of styles and emotions. Shipping will take place within 2 business days with professional packaging and international courier.
