Sculpture

A particularly handcrafted design sculpture made of cast iron, fashioned as a tall ladder with two abstractly shaped human figures. At the bottom is a figure ascending the ladder, while the second figure has taken a position at the top. The composition gives the sculpture a strong symbolic appeal and can be interpreted as a representation of ambition, development, perseverance, success and reaching new heights. The elongated form and minimalist human figures give the work a contemporary and architectural character. Precisely because of the ladder's open construction, the silhouette changes when the sculpture is viewed from different angles. The entire piece is made of cast iron and has a deep dark finish. The subtle texture of the material remains visible and underscores the handmade character. Small irregularities in surface and finish are inherent to the artisanal production process and give each piece its character. A striking decorative art object for, for example, a modern interior, office, executive suite, study, or gallery-like environment. Because of its symbolism, it is also a special gift for a new job, promotion, anniversary, or other significant milestone.
