The JCX-2900KR is part of the high-end Sanyo receivers of this era. It stands out for its robust construction, its imposing aluminium front panel, its two VU meters, its analog tuner and its substantial power. The amplification delivers about 2 × 140 W into 8 Ω and 2 × 150 W into 4 Ω, with a declared particularly low total harmonic distortion.
