Santicri Mixed media Dimensions: 90x50x15 cm The artwork is accompanied by a hand-signed Certificate of Authenticity Limited edition x/8 This contemporary canvas arises from the encounter between one of the most famous symbols in art history and a contemporary visual language. Michelangelo’s David head is reinterpreted and pulled out of its sculptural dimension, transforming into a presence suspended between matter, image, and color. The faucet becomes a true time portal: from it the sculpture seems to be sucked in and simultaneously returned in a new form. The matter and color that emerge from it represent the passage from classical art to a contemporary vision, in which a past icon is fragmented, transformed, and reassembled anew. The work thus reflects on the relationship between memory and transformation, showing how a masterpiece can continue to live even when removed from its original context and reinterpreted through a completely different language. The fusion of the monumental David and the everyday, contemporary element of the faucet creates a deliberately disorienting contrast: art history is not simply cited, but seems to be literally dragged into the present and transformed into new creative material. There arose the ever stronger need to find himself and unleash his creativity. His works are sold worldwide, collaborating with galleries in Italy and Europe. His art is widely appreciated and cannot be missing among collectors of street art and pop art paintings and sculptures of contemporary art.
