Sandro Chia (1946) - Cartella completa Racconto di Primavera - 10 fogli

Spring Tale is a famous portfolio of 10 color intaglio prints (aquatints) created in 1999 by the Italian master Sandro Chia, one of the leading figures of Transavanguardia. Technique: Engraving, original color aquatint Dimensions: Approximately 48 x 48 cm Support: Etna paper 400 g Printer: Tiperti Editions Edition: 100 copies in Arabic numerals, plus Roman numerals and artist proofs, hand-signed by the artist on the front. The style of these prints reflects the expressive and chromatic language typical of Chia, in which vigorous forms and vivid colors dialogue with figurative tradition. Chia's work is distinguished by a strong return to figurative painting and drawing, in clear contrast with the conceptual art of the 1970s. Subjects: Imposing, monumental, and often enigmatic human figures, immersed in vibrant landscapes. Palettes: Rich, bright, thick colors laid down with an energetic and dynamic brushstroke. Influences: A continuous dialogue with the history of art, reinterpreting masters of the past such as Carrà, De Chirico, Picasso, and the tradition of the Tuscan Renaissance.
