Descriptio Wood and copper. Dimensions: 38 × 26 × 23.5 cm. Ritual mask carved from wood and partially or completely covered with copper sheets, a material associated with prestige and power within the Salampasu culture. This type of mask was linked to warrior societies and was used in ceremonies intended to affirm strength, authority, and group cohesion. The combination of formal expressiveness with the metallic sheen of the copper gives the piece an imposing presence and reinforces its symbolic and ceremonial character.
