Saint Francis of Assisi – Print on Leather 84.50 x 68.00...

"San Francesco D'Assisi" is a work of intense spirituality, inspired by the figure of the famed Saint and his deep relationship with prayer, humility, and contemplation. The Saint is depicted kneeling inside a secluded, rocky place, far from the noise of the world. The face turned to the sky and the hand resting on the chest express a trustful surrender, inward concentration, and an inner dialogue with the divine. In front of him, the crucifix becomes the spiritual center of the composition, a symbol of sacrifice, love, and redemption. The skull held in the hand recalls the memento mori theme, inviting meditation on the fragility of earthly life and the eternal value of the soul. It is not a image of fear, but a sign of awareness, humility, and detachment from the vanities of the world. The harsh nature surrounding the Saint reinforces the sense of spiritual solitude, silence, and inner search. Realized through a refined harmony of sepia tones, browns, and blacks, the work strikes with the extraordinary richness of its details and the effect reminiscent of an ancient engraving. The contrast between illuminated areas and the deep shadows of the grotto guides the eye toward Saint Francis’s face, creating an atmosphere that is intimate, solemn, and timeless. "San Francesco D'Assisi" is not merely a decoration, but a true visual presence capable of accompanying prayer and introspection. It is a devotional image dedicated to those who recognize in simplicity, faith, and silence a path toward inner peace. In the bottom right corner there is an intense red wax seal, a distinctive detail that adds personality to the work and creates a refined chromatic contrast with the sober tones of the composition. This element further embellishes the piece, giving it a recognizable, intimate, and sought-after character. - Composition: 55% PU (Polyurethane), 20% Polyester, 5% Cotton, 20% Real Leather Fibers - Total dimensions of the work: 84.50 x 68.00 cm - Materials compliant with REACH regulations, environmentally friendly and free of harmful substances - Unframed work - Packaging and shipping: the work will be shipped rolled on a rigid cardboard support to ensure maximum protection.
