Saba - Freudenstadt E Mod FD-E Tube radio

Offered for auction is a beautiful SABA Freudenstadt E Mod FD-E tube radio amplifier, manufactured in Germany in 1968. The unit is in very good original cosmetic condition, with only normal signs of use consistent with its age. The wooden cabinet is also well preserved and in good condition. The amplifier has been tested and is fully functional as both a radio and an amplifier. It delivers a warm and pleasant sound characteristic of vintage SABA equipment. Please note that the medium-wave, short-wave and long-wave radio bands are not operational in Germany. This may be related to the current availability of these broadcasts and does not necessarily indicate a fault with the radio section. The unit has been kept in largely original condition. All tubes are present and correctly installed. A particularly nice detail for collectors is that the original warranty card and the original basic service schematic are still present inside the unit. The magic-eye tuning tube EMM 803 works correctly and illuminates fully in both radio and amplifier modes, including the mono/stereo setting and the stereo decoder unit also working perfectly. This is a charming vintage German tube amplifier and radio, combining classic SABA design with the characteristic warm sound of tube equipment. Please study all photos carefully before placing a bid. The photos are an integral part of the description and show the exact condition of the item being offered. Dimensions (WHD) 595 x 220 x 200 mm Shipping in Germany and EU with DHL or Hermes.
