Toutes les enchères / Luminaire / S.T. Dupont - Ligne 2 - Pocket lighter - Silver plated
S.T. Dupont Ligne 2 Lighter – Silver-plated Guilloché Vertical Lines (2002) Lot description - Brand: S.T. Dupont Paris - Model: Ligne 2 (silver-plated finish) - Dimensions: 62 × 37 × 11 mm - Decor: Guilloché vertical lines ("Lines / Stripe pattern") - Serial number: 1828Y59 (engraved under the base) - Purchase year: 2002 (purchased on Ventes Privées) - Condition: Used / used condition - Unengraved, single owner. **Detailed description:** I am auctioning the most iconic gas lighter of the S.T. Dupont house: the Ligne 2 model. Recognizable among all for its perfect proportions (62 mm tall) and the famous characteristic "clink" when opening the cap, it is clad in silver plating with a guilloché vertical line decor. **History and detailed condition:** Bought new in 2002 (invoice and original box not kept). This lighter has been used regularly and shows an evident wear patina: **Aesthetics:** Micro-scratches from handling on the smooth surfaces and the presence of a micro impact on the rear right edge of the body and on the edge of the cap (visible in photos). The silver plate maintains a very nice overall shine. **Functioning:** Currently "empty of gas". The hinge, the opening mechanism remain perfectly aligned and the flint wheel functions normally. The lighter is fully functional. *Plan a Dupont gas recharge (yellow nozzle for Ligne 2) for service.* **Contents of the sale:** * The S.T. Dupont Ligne 2 lighter * Sold without box or purchase receipt, but with its warranty card and the list of service centers. A great classic of French silversmithing, ready to be put back into service. **Shipping:** Careful, well-protected and secure sending with tracking.
