S. Salvadori - Candle wall light - Gold plated

Extraordinarily decorative Italian Hollywood Regency Florentine gilded silvered wall candle holder lamp by S. Salvadori, 1960s This Salvadorian wall light embodies the characteristic Florentine craftsmanship of the mid-20th century. It features a complex floral design with gilded metal leaves and blossoms, creating an artistic, nature-inspired composition. The aged gold leaf finish, combined with delicate silver and bronze patinas, gives it a rich, antique aesthetic. The two candle-style light sources with traditional wax wrapping lend a classic elegance reminiscent of traditional European decorative arts. Salvadori was an Italian lighting manufacturer based in Florence, active in the 1950s and 1960s. The workshop specialized in crafting sculptural furniture and lighting pieces that often featured quirky designs with motifs such as wheat stalks, feathers, and grape leaves. These elements were skillfully wrought in iron and finished with oxidized gold leaf, reflecting the Hollywood Regency and Florentine styles of that era. Great design and high-quality workmanship. The arrangement of the flowers creates a beautiful, very refined light.
