Text and notes by Hans Eckart Rübesamen. A richly illustrated monograph devoted to Albrecht Dürer, presenting the various facets of his work: paintings, portraits, drawings, watercolors, and engravings. The illustrations include, notably, the famous Self-Portrait of 1484, the Large Study of Herbs of 1503, the Hare of 1502, as well as a selection of engravings and portraits. Numerous black-and-white and color reproductions, several of which are full-page. Dust jacket is slightly rubbed and yellowed, with minor marks and marginal wear; interior is in good condition.
