Royal Tettau - Tea service (15) - Biscuit porcelain - "US Zone" Germany 1945

An exceptionally elegant and complete porcelain tea service from the renowned German quality manufacturer Royal Tettau (Königlich privilegierte Porzellanmanufaktur Tettau, founded in 1794). Thanks to the rare historical stamp bearing the text "Germany US Zone," this service can be precisely dated to the post-war period between 1945 and 1949. A beautiful piece of history for the collector! The service stands out for its refined, clear turquoise/green-blue bands, decorated with rich, hand-gilded gold details and graceful garlands. Made of high-quality, fine, translucent hard-paste porcelain. The set consists of: • 1x Large teapot with lid • 1x Sugar bowl with lid • 1x Creamer • 6x Elegant teacups • 6x Matching saucers The dinnerware is in excellent vintage condition. No chips, no cracks or restorations. The porcelain is beautifully clear and the goldwork is still in very good condition given the age of more than 75 years (minimal signs of aging commensurate with age, see photos). The lot is packed with extreme care, double-boxed-in-a-box and shipped registered/insured.
