ROYAL MANUFACTORY OF SÈVRES LOUIS SIMON BOIZOT Cream-colored porcelain breast-shaped bowl with a gold border, H 8 cm, D 12 cm 20th century, unsigned Legend has it that it was molded directly from Queen Marie-Antoinette’s breast; it is the most iconic piece of the royal service commissioned by the King for the dairy at the Château de Rambouillet. The Queen would come here to “refresh herself with fresh dairy products.”
