Toutes les enchères / Autres / Rorstrand - Coffee service (14) - Kontiki - feldspar...
Coffee service with Scandinavian mid-century design from the golden era of Swedish modernism. This Rörstrand Kontiki service was manufactured in Sweden between 1957 and 1962. Mid-century design is characterized by: clean lines, functionality and an understated yet refined decor. The white fine stoneware porcelain is finished with a graphic gray geometric line motif and a refined gold-colored edge. Especially the characterful shapes of the milk jug and sugar bowl give it a distinctive 1950s look. The set consists of 4 complete breakfast sets, complemented by a milk jug and a sugar bowl: *4 cups – Ø 7 cm, height 7.5 cm. *4 saucers – Ø 13.5 cm. *4 breakfast plates – Ø 18 cm. *1 milk jug – height 10 cm, Ø ca. 7 cm. *1 sugar bowl – height 7 cm, Ø ca. 10 cm Total: 14 pieces. The Kontiki series had a short production period and is attractive to enthusiasts of Rörstrand, Swedish porcelain and authentic Scandinavian design. The set is in excellent vintage condition. The decor and the gold-edged rims are well preserved. Light signs of use and aging are consistent with a dinnerware set of about 65 years old. A stylish and modern coffee service as a collectible object or for a beautifully set table. Carefully packaged and shipped with a traceable code.
