Ca. AD 50 - 200. A carnelian intaglio engraved with Mercury standing on a groundline, nude except for a cloak over his right shoulder. He holds a caduceus in his right hand and a purse in his left. The intaglio is set in a possibly later silver ring with a fluted hoop and an oval bezel. For similar see: The British Museum, Museum number AF.415.
