Roebuck Mammal skull - Capreolus capreolus - 20 cm - 15...

5 beautiful large roe deer skulls on a neat trophy plaque are very easy to mount on the wall 5 beautiful and different skulls in different colors 2 so-called 4-enders and 3 large 6-enders! see photo complete with all jaw pieces included very beautiful objects to hang in your interior or mancave The roe deer has a sandy-yellow to reddish-brown summer coat; in winter it is more gray-brown to black in color. Adults have no spots. Clearly visible is the white to yellowish belly patch. In males this patch is fairly inconspicuous in summer. The nose is black and the chin is white. The tail is quite small (two to four centimeters long) and only visible during defecation. In winter, the female roe deer, the doe, shows a tuft of white hairs between the hind legs to the rear—the apron. This looks like a tail, but it isn’t. The adult male, the buck, has a simple antler, usually consisting of two to three points (tines). Roe bucks with four to five points are exceptions. The antlers are usually about 25 centimeters long. Each year between October and January a new antler grows again and therefore the old antler falls off. The antlers grow beneath a velvet skin which, when the antlers are fully grown between March and June, loosens and is shed. Occasionally a roe doe also has antlers. When the antlers have not yet developed forks they are called a spike. A fork has one forked point; this is common at around two years of age. The number of forks is not an indication of age: even a one-year-old roe deer, a yearling, can already have a forked antler or an antler with six points. Because this is a real natural skull, it may contain some minor cracks and gaps... in both the skull and the horns! Also teeth or molars can be loose and/or fall out. This is normal. Refer to photos. The object is carefully packed and shipped.
