The work belongs to the figurative realism movement of twentieth-century Italy. “La Primavera” by Renato Fiorillo is an extraordinary and refined figurative composition of significant size, capable of immediately drawing the eye with its balance, intensity, and rich color. The two female figures, united by a direct and engaging exchange of looks, form the core of the scene, while the bird, depicted with an unusual and almost suspended posture, introduces a dynamic and surprising element, laden with suggestion. The painting, soft yet slightly textured, presents a lively surface, almost orange peel-like, and is distinguished by a sunny and Mediterranean color rendering, warm and luminous, which amplifies the charm and immediacy of the composition. The work was created in the seventies, a particularly recognizable phase of the artist’s production, consistent in quality, technique, and painting language. The piece is in overall excellent condition, ready to hang, and is accompanied by a certificate of guarantee and authenticity from Galleria d’Arte Massante and by the artist’s autograph authentication on a photograph, solid elements that confirm its authenticity and strengthen its collectible value. Renato Fiorillo (Naples, 1923 – Naples, 2000) was an Italian painter active in the late twentieth century, appreciated for figurative compositions with strong decorative impact and for his rich and personal use of color. His painting, often characterized by warm and luminous tones, reflects a Mediterranean sensibility, with a subtle Neapolitan component that emerges in many works in the representation of simple and popular figures. The buyer will receive the artwork in careful and sturdy packaging. Very fast shipping.
