Raymond Savignac - Gitanes - Gitanes - 1990s

Gitanes – Raymond Savignac – Advertising poster – 54 × 40 cm A explosion of color and personality: this splendid Gitanes poster reproduces a composition by Raymond Savignac, a celebrated figure in French advertising graphics, appreciated for his immediate, ironic, and surprisingly essential language. The female figure dominates the scene, drawn with a bold black line and traversed by patches of blue, green, and yellow. The long cigarette holder, the Gitanes pack, and the cigarettes scattered on the background transform the subject into a lively, theatrical composition. The large white lettering completes an image of extraordinary decorative impact. The signature “Savignac” is reproduced at the bottom right. On the bottom left edge is the inscription “ by SPADEM 1995,” while at the bottom right the indication “BEDOS & Cie” is visible. Dimensions: about 54 × 40 cm. Good overall condition, with bright colors and a well-preserved image. It shows small abrasions, light creases, and signs of handling mainly along the edges and corners, as documented in the photographs, which are an integral part of the description. A poster with a bold character, perfect to frame to enhance a study, a living room, or a collection dedicated to advertising and French graphics.
