Raton, New Mexico Territory. Blossburg Mercantile Company. 1904 5 Cents. PMG Very Fine 20. No. H4505. Dated March 1, 1904 with no imprint. Bold red "5" protector at center with serial numbers overprinted in blue at left and right. Title curving across the top center which reads "Blossburg Mercantile Company." Printed on yellow paper with the engraved facsimile signature of Treasurer Cunningham at lower right. The stirring admonitions "Not to be Used as Money" and "Good Only for Merchandise" make their presence felt and offer a fine complementary point to the appropriate legalese seen on the front.
