Toutes les enchères / Ethnographie / Radiant Deep Violet Amethyst Meticulously Crafted to...
Impressive sphere carved from a natural amethyst druzy from Brazil — This unique specimen features a sphere carved from a natural amethyst druzy from Brazil, blending the harmony of the spherical shape with the intrinsic, untreated beauty of the crystals. Unlike fully polished spheres, this piece preserves large portions of the original crystal structure, offering a direct look at the natural growth of quartz inside the geological cavity from which it was extracted. The skilled cut enhances its magnificence, revealing a sparkling interior of violet crystals. Amethyst is a variety of quartz that typically forms in volcanic environments, inside rock cavities known as geodes or druses. Here, silica-rich hydrothermal solutions slowly deposit the mineral, which crystallizes over millions of years. The characteristic violet coloration is attributed to traces of iron within the quartz crystal structure and to subsequent natural irradiation. In this specimen, the color is well distributed, ranging from pale lilac to deeper, more intense violet, alternating with zones of greater transparency that add visual dynamism. The inner surface of the sphere is lined with well-formed crystals, featuring natural, polished, highly reflective faces. These crystals show sharp edges and planes that, while irregular, create considerable visual depth and a strong three-dimensional impact, catching light from every angle. In the images you can also observe the outer zones of the sphere showing the matrix rock, with white tones and delicate blue-green veining, which contribute to telling the geological story of the specimen and enrich its aesthetic profile. There are small inclusions and micro-imperfections, entirely consistent with the natural origin of a specimen of such size, which confirm its authenticity and absence of artificial treatments or manipulations. This extraordinary specimen is ideal for mineral collectors seeking pieces of notable aesthetic and scientific value, geology enthusiasts, or anyone looking for a natural object with strong decorative character that can become a focal point in any setting, from contemporary interiors to a natural history collection. It represents a perfect fusion of the geometric perfection of the sphere and the wild beauty of natural crystallization. ### Technical details Name: Amethyst Sphere with Natural Druze Classification: Quartz, Amethyst variety Origin: Brazil Dimensions: 140 x 140 x 140 mm Weight: 2715 g Conditions: Natural, without known alterations or treatments
