Quiet view over the moor - Gary Westall

Quiet view over the moor by Gary Westall Painting 11.8 x 15.8 :: This work is part of my series ‘Happy and grateful walking in the moor’. In this series I capture impressions from my walks through the moor – moments that give me peace strength and clarity. This picture shows a tranquil view across the moor water. The dark tree trunk in the foreground and the autumnal ferns frame the peaceful landscape. The water lies calmly between the banks and the view extends into the vastness of the moor. While painting I tried to capture precisely this moment: pausing on the bank and simply being in the landscape. Signed lower left.
