Poudrier vintage avec miroir - Box - Brass

Vintage gold-toned metal pocket powder case – exterior worked with vertical motifs – mirror to be restored Charming old-fashioned pocket powder case in a vintage style, made of gold-toned metal, featuring an elegant external decoration of fine vertical lines. A lovely retro piece, both a grooming item, a feminine accessory, and a collectible. This powder case testifies to the refinement of beauty accessories once carried in handbags. Its compact size and the refined gold finish make it a particularly decorative piece, even though the inner mirror currently needs replacement. The case features a gold-coated surface with a decoration of regular vertical strokes, giving texture and rhythm to the surface. This sober and graphic finish contrasts with the highly ornate models from the same era and gives it a particularly elegant aesthetic. The metal shows a patina tied to its age, reinforcing its vintage and authentic character. Its small size made it easy to slip into a handbag or a clutch. Pocket powder cases used to be part of the indispensable accessories of an elegant woman. They were used to store and carry compact powder and typically featured a mirror for touch-ups during the day. Today this piece is a nice testimony of feminine grooming accessories from the 20th century. Replacing the mirror would restore the powder case’s full functionality and aesthetic appeal. It can also be kept as is in a collection, without restoration, to preserve its antique look. An authentic vintage accessory full of charm, whose worked exterior particularly deserves to be highlighted. See photos for more details careful and tracked shipping
