Descriptio Oil on canvas. Dimensions 185 x 67 cm and 106 x 86 cm. Portrait of Maria Theresa of Austria, Queen Consort of France, depicted in highly refined court attire, highlighting the richness of the textiles and the sumptuousness of the adornments. The figure stands erect, with a solemn bearing and restrained expression, underscoring her rank and dynastic dignity. The details of the clothing, the jewels, and the symbolic elements associated with the monarchy reinforce the official character of the effigy, while the treatment of light delicately models the face and hands.
