Polychroom aardewerken bordje – kleurrijk bloemendecor

Polychrome Earthenware Plate – Colorful Floral Decoration, Late 18th Century Small in size, rich in color and character. This delicate plate with a 17.5 cm diameter draws attention with a lively floral decoration on a white-cream ground. Deep blue flowers, purplish-brown petals, green leaves, and warm yellow-orange accents form an exuberant whole. The central bouquet is framed by a decorative border in which flowers and leafy tendrils recur. The visible brushstrokes give the painting a lively, artisanal character. The combination of blue, green, yellow, and manganese-like purples aligns with the decorative tradition of 18th-century polychrome Delft earthenware. Flower bouquets were a popular subject in that tradition.
