Podere Le Ripi is a biodynamic Montalcino estate, owned by Francesco Illy of the Illy coffee family, making pure, elegant Sangiovese in the south-west of the appellation. Cielo d'Ulisse is one of its Brunello bottlings, from vineyards ringed by woodland that temper the warmth. 2018 was a cool, elegant Brunello vintage. Monica Larner from Robert Parker's Wine Advocate gave it a rating of 93, Eric Guido from Vinous gave it 92, and Walter Speller gave it 17.5 out of 20.
