Platter - lead crystal - Footed bowl

Hand-cut Bohemian lead crystal coupe bowl on a stem, executed in deep cobalt blue overlaid crystal (cased crystal). This impressive object is a classic example of master glassblowing and cutting work from Central Europe (traditionally) It is characterized by a rich and detailed pattern. The cobalt blue top layer is skilfully cut-to-clear, creating a beautiful contrast with the clear crystal underneath. The motif contains refined star-shaped elements (including the typical 'pinwheel' slicing), fans and geometric facets that reflect light wonderfully from every angle. The bowl rests on a faceted, clear crystal stem and a heavy, stable square foot, which at the bottom is also fitted with a star-shaped cutting motif. This is truly a showpiece
