Self-taught and instinctive, Pioch has developed a distinctive style that blends free figuration with elements of street art (urban art) and draws influences from outsider art (art brut) and singular art. One could say that all of his works are a true open book about his life. He prefers to depict human emotion in his paintings rather than speak out or take political stances in his creations. He is an authentic artist who tells his own story and, in parallel, ends up telling the lives of others. Hyper-sensitive, he lays himself bare through his canvases, without restraint, thus showing his personality; not seeking to seduce, he will never leave you indifferent.
