Pillbox - .800 silver - France

Beautiful French oval silver pill box. Such boxes were historically often used as a snuff box, a pill box, or for storing other small trinkets. This box would date from around 1900. Silver mark “crabe” and the maker’s mark with the initials “HE”. After decades of careful collecting I have decided to part with (part of) my collection. I would like these remarkable objects to find a place with a new enthusiast who understands the value of historical preservation. It’s time these pieces receive the attention they deserve, so they will be kept for the distant future as well. I ensure extremely careful packaging and insured shipping.
