"1947, Mr. PIERRE LEVEQUE, an amateur filmmaker expert and excellent mechanic, designs and produces in small series in his workshop in PAU (France) an advanced amateur camera. Very well designed, reliable (the only camera guaranteed 5 years), efficient and despite everything affordable, the LEVEQUE LD8 achieves the success it deserves. This wonderful LD8 camera, which at the time was the most advanced among 8 mm, was even considered superior to Beaulieu cameras: it was one of the rare machines with gears that allowed a smoother film advance. This exemplar is in perfect working condition and preserved: no rust or micro-scratches on the back."
