Pierre Abadie-Landel (1896-1972) Born August 22, 1896 in Paris 6th arrondissement, died September 23, 1972 in Paris 14th. French painter, wood engraver, ceramicist and illustrator of Breton origin. - Student at the École des Beaux-Arts de Paris. - 1916: made known during the Great War with _L'Alphabet de l'Armée_ and drawings for _Le Nouvel Essor_. At that time he discovers the Fratellini circus, which will become one of his favorite themes. - 1920: begins to exhibit at the Salon des Indépendants. - 1923: founding member of the group *Seiz Breur* (Seven Brothers) with Jeanne Malivel and René-Yves Creston, a Breton art renewal movement.
