Peter and John Healing the Cripple at the Gate of the Temple Rembrandt

A very good, well-inked and clear and crisp impression of the fifth state, trimmed to the platemark. Most of the shadows reworked with a mezzotint rocker, i.e. John's forehead; before the changes characteristic of the sixth state, such as the reworked canopy and the inside of the arch. – Two short, closed tears at the upper edge. On the verso, a spot of paper thinning in the left margin and a tiny abrasion in the centre. Otherwise in good condition. | 1606 Leiden - Amsterdam 1669 | 15.-18. Jahrhundert | Druckgrafik | Nummer: 26x1280
