Black lacquer intact, with deep and even shine, no chips, scratches, or noticeable dings; only very light micro-scratches from use on the body when viewed against the light. Gold plating on the clip, central ring, and stepped fittings remains well preserved, with very slight signs of wear. Nib intact, well aligned, no bending, with correct iridium point and crisp engraving. Black section clean and crack-free. Filling system accepts cartridges or converter.
