The album also features pages with still-empty spaces, confirming its incomplete nature. The original cover depicts the stadium, the flags of the participating nations, the official Euro 88 logo, and the famous mascot Berni, with the classic Panini mark. The final, played against the Soviet Union, is remembered especially for Marco van Basten’s spectacular volley. The album therefore stands as a testament to European football of the Eighties and to one of the most iconic generations in the competition’s history.
