Toutes les enchères / Arts Graphiques / Panel - GA017 - Decorative “The Mona Lisa and the Cat”...
Decorative Panel “The Mona Lisa and the Cat” – Artistic Tribute to Leonardo da Vinci Size: 141 x 93 cm Tapestry panel from the decorative fabric collection Royal Fauna by Deco Italian Design, dedicated to the animal world reinterpreted through the great masterpieces of art. Inspired by one of the most famous masterpieces in art history: Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa, here reinterpreted in an original and ironic way with an elegant siamese cat cradled in Monna Lisa’s arms. The figure of the woman preserves the iconic stance of the famous portrait, with the enigmatic smile, the sfumato landscape in the background, and the refined Renaissance atmosphere. The cat, an unexpected protagonist of the scene, introduces a playful and contemporary element, creating a pleasant contrast between classical art and feline culture. The sepia-toned palette, dominated by brown, ochre, tobacco, black and antique gold, recalls the look of an old print or an antique painting. The landscape in the background and the painterly rendering give the panel an elegant, curious character rich in decorative charm. Perfect as a modern tapestry, textile picture, or furnishing element for living rooms, studies, entrances, libraries, bedrooms and spaces with a classic, eclectic or ironic taste. An original proposal for those who love art, Leonardo, cats and decorative objects capable of telling a story.
