PANCHO PORTO (1988) - brain death

Title: “Brain Death” — Contemporary sculpture in bronze and iron (Limited edition of 25) “Brain Death” is a sculpture created in 2025 that reflects on the mental, spiritual, and emotional wear provoked by the accelerated pace of modern life. Cast in bronze using lost-wax casting and assembled on a solid iron base, it combines powerful materials to convey a direct and critical message. The figure shows the tongue sticking out, a universal symbol of death, exhaustion, and vital loss. From its head emerge jets representing the brain dispersing, a visual metaphor for how constant stimuli, information overload, and contemporary stress erode the mind and consume the spirit. With dimensions of 40 cm long, 12 cm wide, and 14 cm high, “Brain Death” is a striking, compact, and expressive work, ideal for those seeking conceptual pieces with a strong critical and emotional component. This sculpture is part of a limited edition of 25 copies, numbered and certified, making it an exclusive piece for collectors of contemporary art, bronze lovers, or spaces looking for a work with a deep message.
